Makoto gets her first official job request from a Society Witch, and while the job seems mundane at first, a bit of immature magic makes for an unexpected situation. Makoto uses the payment from the job to buy a magical item that reveals the invisible. Chinatsu’s gift from Beachy starts to wreak havoc, until it’s reduced to a form that lets her use a spell…

Everyone gathers to grill giblets to celebrate Chinatsu’s first bit of witchcraft. The familiars are lured to school with the promise of a tasty lunch… which draws the attention of an upperclassman witch. Makoto is tasked with solving a case where people get spirited away, but the solution turns out to be very down-to-earth…

Makoto and her cousins head out to the yomiya, a night festival. There they run into the Harbinger of Summer who tends to oversleep. A Wonderful Summer Summer finally comes to a close for Makoto and her friends—but not without incident! In Aomori, Beachy makes a surprise visit and helps Chinatsu with a summer project that’s out of this world. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Akane gets sauced and puts Makoto’s plans to return to Aomori on hold. And when Makoto gets back, she’ll find plenty of surprises waiting for her. To atone for stopping time under the influence, Makoto’s sister Akane must undertake a challenging job for the Society. Her mission: retrieve a sacred artifact from a long-sealed chamber in the Tibetan mountains or risk forever staining her reputation. Back in Aomori, Makoto fits a friend in a handmade robe—only to unexpectedly unleash a little chaos. And when a special visitor asks for help, Makoto and her crew put all their skills to the test in a task that, if done wrong, could spell the end of the human race.

Preparations for the Great Sabbath, a worldwide witchy event held once every twenty years, have kicked into full gear, and to Makoto’s delight, Aomori is on the list of candidate host cities. It also comes to light that a missed milestone has put Chinatsu in dicey spiritual territory. Now, it’s up to Makoto to save her soul!

When deliberations on where to hold the imminent Great Sabbath, a large-scale festival for witches the world over, come dangerously close to a standstill, Akane and representatives of the four other candidate host cities are scooped up and ordered to battle on behalf of their hometowns to claim the honor—and their own freedom. Meanwhile, Makoto accompanies Anzu on her very first job as a full-fledged witch and quickly realizes that being a mentor can be much more treacherous, and booby-trap heavy, than it seems!
